Smart Home Devices from Leader of British Market
A smart home mobile app that helps homeowners monitor their property, manage IoT devices, and react to hazardous events in real time.

Smart home protection for a leader of the British insurance market
Aviva Smart Home is a mobile app designed to give homeowners greater peace of mind by turning their property into a connected and responsive environment.
The app integrates with smart home devices such as SmartCams, leak detectors, and contact sensors. When a device detects a potentially hazardous event, users receive real-time alerts and can check what happened directly in the app.
Mood Up was responsible for expanding the app’s functionality and improving the user experience to support the needs of a modern smart home ecosystem.
Real-time home monitoring through connected devices
The application allows users to monitor their homes through a network of IoT devices. From water leaks and door breaches to unusual movement, Aviva Smart Home helps detect risks early and gives users the information they need to react quickly.
The app provides alerts, monitoring views, and device controls in one mobile experience, making home protection more accessible during holidays, daily commutes, or night-time routines.

Connected insurance and smart home experience
One of Mood Up’s key contributions was the MyAviva integration.
We connected the smart home system with the client’s existing insurance services, giving users a more unified view of their property and coverage. This helped bring smart home monitoring closer to the insurance experience, making the app more useful for Aviva customers.
Smarter control over home security
Mood Up developed features that helped users manage their smart home protection with less manual effort.
The Auto-Arming feature automatically activates smart security devices when the user leaves a predefined area. This makes daily protection easier and reduces the need to manually turn security on and off.
Security Scheduling gives users the option to activate or deactivate home security at specific times, which is useful for regular office hours, holidays, and night-time routines.

Managing IoT devices inside the app
The app supports pairing and configuration of smart home devices directly inside the mobile experience.
Users can manage connected devices, adjust sensitivity thresholds, monitor activity, and receive automated alerts when abnormal behavior is detected. This gives homeowners more control over how their smart home system works in different situations.
